Driveway Curb Appeal

Submitted to Rust-O Resources

Hi, Creators!

Your concrete driveway may not be the first thing you think of when updating the curb appeal of your home, but it’s one of those things that is surely noticed when it doesn’t look good.

If you’ve coated your driveway before, you’d know it can be one of your most procrastinated projects. However, with the right products, coating your driveway is much easier and can be done in just one day.

Prepping is essential to a great driveway project. You’ll want to clean it and let it dry thoroughly, making sure it’s clear of debris, dirt, dust, oil, wax and grease. You may need to use an oil stain remover such as SEAL-KRETE® Oil Stain Remover to lift those stubborn stains.

Once thoroughly dry, concrete should be etched to allow proper penetration and adhesion of the finished coating. You can use our environmentally friendly SEAL-KRETE Clean-n-Etch solution to open the pores in bare concrete.

When the surface has been fully scuffed, rinsed and dried, apply a primer such as SEAL-KRETE Lock-Down Concrete Bonding Primer. Primer helps lock paints and stains to concrete and reduces peeling and hot tire pickup.

Then, you’re ready for a beautiful surface coating, SEAL-KRETE Epoxy Seal concrete paint comes in 38 different colors to coordinate with your house colors or those of your subdivision. It resists water, oil, grease, gas and salt that can erode your untreated concrete. This ready-to-use, one-part acrylic-epoxy blend dries quickly and is also UV resistant.

When you want to update your driveway with a durable, long-lasting finish, consider concrete solutions from SEAL-KRETE. You’ll love the finished look and it will be admired without being noticeable.
