Today we meet Creator's Studio member @Bstellberg, who is remodelling a vintage mobile home

Why did you join Creator's Studio?
I found the site when I was looking for help using a Rust-Oleum product.  It looked like a fun place to see what other creative people are doing.

What's your favorite part of the Creator's Studio community?
The contests and positive feedback you get from others in the community.

How would you describe yourself/occupation to a complete stranger?
I am a retired physical therapist who used to rehabilitate people, now I rehabilitate things!

What creative areas do you like to focus on?
Furniture and home renovations.  I try to make the worst looking things beautiful and useful again.

What is your favorite Rust-Oleum product? How has it helped with your DIY projects?
I really like using the Painters Touch Ultra Cover latex and 2X spray paints.  When I can get a consistent color match between the two products it makes it so much easier to paint difficult to reach areas.  I always keep both in my supply cabinet.

What interests you most about DIY projects?
When I was I a teenager I liked being able to make beautiful things we couldn't afford to buy new. I made most of my clothes growing up and painted furniture even then.  I especially like the creative problem-solving aspect of DIY.  I am always learning new skills and techniques.  Without a rule book I feel free to experiment and do things out of the box.

What's the best DIY project you have completed and how did you accomplish it?
The biggest and best project I am still working on, is our lakeside manufactured house.  We bought the trailer in September of 2020 and over the winter my husband and I did a full interior remodel to use as a vacation home.  I furnished it with vintage pieces that were left in the home or from my project stash.  I knew I wanted a white and blue color scheme with red and yellow accents.  We did it on a budget but I think it looks like a million dollars.

What's the most difficult project you have tackled?
We remodeled an original condition 1960's ranch house while we were living in it and working full time.  Living in a nine-month construction zone without a kitchen was not fun.

If you could create any type of project (with no limitations), what would you design and why?
I think it would be building a piece of furniture from scratch.  I would like to learn how to use more power tools.

Tell us something about yourself that most people don't know about you.
People are most surprised when they learn about all the things I have done while working as a physical therapist; including designing and sewing children's products, co-owning a bread store, getting my Master's degree, flipping houses with my husband, and publishing in professional medical research journals.

What's the best advice that anyone has ever given you?
Always over-deliver on a promise.

What book(s) are on your nightstand right now?
I'm too tired to read!  But if I have time, I read mystery stories.

What's your all-time favorite food?
Wisconsin cheese

Thanks for sharing your story with us, @Bstellberg
