In addition to being a talented bunch, our community members are always supportive and curious about one another! Today we're profiling long time member maryhunn.

Why did you join Creator's Studio?
I joined the Creator's Studio about 3 years ago to learn about new products and have a chance to test them and show off my DIY projects.

What's your favorite part of the Creator's Studio community?
I love getting inspired by others' projects and participating in challenges.

How would you describe yourself/occupation to a complete stranger?
I am a busy bee...in addition to my full-time job as the Office Manager at my church, I also teach Body Flow at the YMCA a couple of times a week, write up tutorials for crafts and DIY projects for my blog Real Girl's Realm, and I recently starting teaching Cricut classes at Michaels a couple of times a month.

What creative areas do you like to focus on?
I love to paint things around my house and craft with my Cricut cutting machine.

What is your favorite Rust-Oleum product? How has it helped with your DIY projects?
I love all of the spray paint, but the spray nozzle has saved my hand many a time!

What interests you most about DIY projects?
I love to DIY for several reasons...it gives me a chance to learn a new skill, save money, and have a sense of pride in what I have accomplished.

What's the best DIY project you have completed and how did you accomplish it?
One of my favorite DIY projects was making over my mom's china hutch she handed down to me. I changed the traditional profile to a modern look using trim and added new hardware. I painted it a fun turquoise color with red accents.

What's the most difficult project you have tackled?
The largest and hardest DIY project I tackled with my husband was renovating our basement. We ripped out a bathroom and kitchenette and built a larger bathroom, laundry room, and mudroom from scratch. We also hung drywall and laid vinyl plank flooring (among other things). It took us over 2 years to complete the project, but it was so worth it.

If you could create any type of project (with no limitations), what would you design and why?
I would design a beautiful outdoor deck with a pergola, water feature, and tile surround around the pool. It would look like something off of HGTV!

Tell us something about yourself that most people don't know about you.
I am a First Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do!

What's the best advice that anyone has ever given you?
Don't rely on others for your happiness. You have to learn to be happy on your own.

What book(s) are on your nightstand right now?
Frankenstein by Dean Koontz and an Advent devotional.

What's your all-time favorite food?
This is a hard one because I love to eat! If I have to choose, I would say any kind of tacos or my mom's sweet potato casserole.
