Spreading some ♥️ this Valentine's Day

Submitted to What's New

Tis the season of all things love – February 14 is Valentine’s Day and we’re here to help you celebrate in style!

Join us on this fun little trip around the world and learn more about Valentine’s Day traditions throughout history.

Over at Rust-Oleum headquarters, Team Cupid 💘 created this heart chandelier, which we think is the perfect project inspiration this Valentine's.

Make your own wooden heart chandelier with a few items from a craft store and various shades of Varathane Fast Dry Wood Stain. Display it during your Valentine's Day or Galentine's Day celebration.

💌 Step 1
Working over a drop cloth, use a lint-free cloth to apply Varathane Fast Dry Wood Stain to each wooden heart and quilt hoop. Wipe it on in the direction of the wood grain.

💌 Step 2
Allow wood stain to penetrate for 1-3 minutes until your desired color is achieved.

💌 Step 3
Wipe off excess wood stain in the direction of the grain with a clean lint-free cloth. Allow to dry for at least 1 hour.

💌 Step 4
Once the stained hearts and hoops are completely dry, string several hearts together and tie a knot at the bottom.

💌 Step 5
Hang the strung hearts from the quilt hoops. Tie a few loops of twine to the top quilt hoop to hang.

Happy season of love, Creators – we hope you’ll gather in the comments to share your Valentine’s projects (current and past) with our community.
