Thanksgiving in Creator’s Studio

Submitted to What's New

Thanksgiving is around the corner and in true Creator’s Studio form, you’ve shared some amazing DIY décor projects in the community. So, as we get set to wind down this weekend with friends and family, we’ve rounded up some holiday ideas for you.

Gobble gobble …

Inspiring Thanksgiving Traditions

We love this photo of CreativelyLiving’s little holiday helper, and we love her children’s table décor suggestion! “We cover the kids table with a huge piece of paper and set out a bunch of coloring crayons. Kids love this! It's entertainment and decor all in one. And it's really fun to see the drawings/ art when they are done. It can also serve as a place setting where you write names...AND a disposable tablecloth! ;-)”

ChunkyMermaid shares this beautiful Thanksgiving tradition from her family: “My sister-in-law has an open door policy where family, friends, and friends of the friendless are all invited to break bread together.  I love this tradition of welcoming one and all and look forward to it every year.”

Thanksgiving Tablescapes

Vimarhonor’s simple and chic Thanksgiving tablescape is speaking to us!

Look no further than the Rust-Oleum website for holiday décor ideas – we’ve got you covered with a festive Kids’ Table, DIY napkins, and some ideas for rustic Thanksgiving centerpieces.

Bringing the Outside Inside

We’re always wowed by the creativity in our community, and we’re particularly fond of unexpected touches. Lois Barber’s Blue Thanksgiving centerpiece definitely fits the bill – love that pop of blue in the usual mix of fall colors.

This vintage pumpkin centerpiece with a touch of gold makes for lovely seasonal décor.

All this talk about dinner tables has gotten us wondering...what food is going on these beautiful creations? Take some time and participate in the Holiday Recipe Share – we love to see your tried and true holiday favorites.

Let’s face it, part of the appeal of a long weekend is that we have some extra time to get things done! Be sure to pop into the Readying For Winter activity to get some ideas from members about how to prep for cold weather.

Our wish this Thanksgiving for all of our Creator’s Studio members is that you have some peaceful moments to reflect on the year past and the holidays ahead. We are grateful to every one of you in this amazing online community.
