MILLENNIAL PINK ISN’T FADING ANYTIME SOON

Submitted to What's New

You’ve seen it around. In home furnishings, in fashion, even in paint colors. It’s that light, dusty, blush shade of pink we call Millennial Pink and it’s not going anywhere anytime soon.

It is the new neutral.

In 2016, Pantone introduced Rose Quartz as one of the colors of the year, and ever since, pinks have been expanding.

What’s behind the staying power of this color? According to thecut.com, it’s androgynous. Perhaps surprisingly, or not, pink was a color of choice for boys in the early 20th century according to Smithsonian.com.

The hue isn’t just for fashion, though. Domino magazine sees this light pink color as a home trend in 2018. As the color continues to show up in decor, people are looking to re-create it.

This past spring, Rust-Oleum added Pink Peony to its line of 2X Ultra Cover spray paint to help DIYers bring this great color into their own homes.

Re-create your own trendy look with this neutral pink color and show us how you’ve used it!
