Don't forget your before and after photos, and that you must use at least one Rust-Oleum product in your submission.
We've organized our latest challenge to partner with our friends at Rust-Oleum Cares and honor a few very important days on the calendar: International Day of Charity on September 5 and World Kindness Day on November 13.
The International Day of Charity was established with the objective of sensitizing and mobilizing people, non-profit organizations and stakeholders all around the world to help others through volunteer and philanthropic activities. September 5th was chosen to commemorate the anniversary of the passing of Mother Teresa of Calcutta, who received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979 "for work undertaken in the struggle to overcome poverty and distress, which also constitute a threat to peace."
World Kindness Day, is a day when people are encouraged to make the world a better place celebrating and promoting good deeds and pledging acts of kindness, either as individuals or as organizations.
(Learn more about the International Day of Charity at UN.org and World Kindness Day at https://www.theworldkindnessmovement.org/)
Our challenge opens for submissions on September 5th and we'll wrap everything up by announcing the winner on November 13th.
Challenge Brief
To participate in this challenge, we're asking you to go out and find a non-profit, cause or just someone in need and share your DIY skills or time with them using at least one of your favorite Rust-Oleum products. A local animal rescue might need a dog house painted. You could sell your handmade crafts and donate the proceeds to a women's shelter. What about creating an art piece for your local Veterans Affairs office? Or maybe you know a family who is down on their luck and could use a refresh of their home to make a difference in their lives. The possibilities are endless and the chance to make an impact is great!
Your submission must be shared in the Creator's Studio by noon CST on November 9th. When it's all said and done, we'll select our favorite submissions and make an additional donation in partnership with the Rust-Oleum Cares program.
Before getting started, make sure you have permission from the cause or non-profit to do your project. Please don't just show up with a bunch of cans of spray paint and expect to be welcomed with open arms ๐
In summary: You + your skills + someone in need = An entry in our Caring Challenge!
Prizes
Our team of Expert Reviewers and friends on the Rust-Oleum Cares team will select up to 3 of our favorite submissions that will receive an additional donation on behalf of Rust-Oleum.
