I found a cheap armoire at a thrift shop and decided to use this for the project challenge. I didn't think I would get it finished in time! I worked feverishly this past week and am very proud of my finished piece.

I bought painters tape, sanding block, mod podge, flowered napkins, along with super glue, butterfly rub-on transfers, and wooden butterfly shapes from Dollar Tree. I also found beautiful glass drawer pulls from the online store at Dollar Tree. Those were shipped right to my house. I included many pictures to show my steps. I didn't include pictures of the pieces primed as my garage is a disaster. Lol.

I started by taking off all hardware and taping off any places I didn't want paint to hit. I then lightly scuffed and used Awesome Spray from Dollar Tree I had already at home to clean. I primed and then once dry I began to add a pink and a couple shades of purple from Rust-Oleum line of paint sprays. I then slowly put her back together and began to decoupage the drawer fronts and sides of the armoire using napkins. I used a gold tissue paper inside the armoire drawers from Dollar General. I use the iron on method to decoupage. I put a thin coat of mod podge down and let dry. I then place the napkin down and cover with a piece of parchment paper. My craft iron on high setting reactivates the mod podge and allows the napkin to stick nicely and without wrinkles.

Then it was time to make it sparkle! I painted the entire piece with a light coat of pearl spray and topped with a satin finish spray coat. I painted the wooden butterfly shapes gold and glued a couple on toward the top. I used the rub-on gold butterfly transfers inside the doors. The glass drawer pulls had a silver base so I painted them gold to match. I added some gold wax and gold foil on the legs too. The door pulls I already had from another project so I touched them up with the gold to match.
