Describe your item and its condition before the transformation
I found a set of free drawers from my neighbor’s curb and I immediately thought how about make them into something nice and purposeful, so I grabbed them. I saw in Pinterest how other people used drawers as storage for blankets and pillows. So I thought I can do that too!
Explain what you did to turn your item from Trash to Treasure
I cleaned the drawer and stripped the paint on the front. When it was all dry, I started painting the drawer with Rustoleum Chalked paint in Country Gray in all sides. Then, I stenciled “No 4” which represented my family of 4, on one side using Rustoleum Chalked in Charcoal. I waited til it was dry to topcoat it with Rustoleum as well. I bought the unfinished table legs and plates and drilled them in place. I switched the outdated drawer pull into rustic chic style which goes with my farmhouse decor. Then for the bottom of the drawer, I decoupaged a fabric which I already have in hand to complete the look.
