Porch Bench Makeover for Spring
This rustic bench had been collecting dust in my garage for longer than I care to admit. I had been using it to hold my paint supplies. I decided to give my front porch a little refresh for spring, and thought this little bench would make a great seat by the front door. I started by giving it a good cleaning, and then a light sanding with 220 grit sandpaper. I sprayed two coats of Rustoleum chalked ultra matte spray paint in "Aged Gray." I lightly sanded between coats. That was it! This project was so easy, and my bench went from dusty garage relic to a cute addition to my front porch. I also made some plant markers using Rustoleum Chalkboard flat black spray paint and thrifted wooden cooking utensils. To give a little sparkle and spring color to my front door, I sprayed a quick coat of Rustoleum Pink Glitter spray paint to a thrifted umbrella and filled it with tulips. Now I have a pretty sitting area on my front porch.
