Let There Be Light Holiday Challenge
Let There Be Light Holiday Challenge
The winners have been chosen! Thank you for participating and making this challenge great.
Read MoreThe Holidays can be busy and hectic, but they're also a time of quiet reflection - sometimes inspired by candlelight or a string of lights on a tree.
We're looking for your best interpretations of our theme, Let There Be Light. You could upcycle an old lamp into something new, create a winter-themed candle holder, make a light fixture out of something unexpected; the possibilities are endless!
Incorporate the magic of light into your challenge submission and enlighten other Creator's Studio members with your creativity and DIY skills.
Challenge Brief:
Submit your project in one of three categories:
- Challenge Rookies (choose this category if you consider yourself a novice DIYer)
- Challenge Veterans (choose this category if you have entered a Creator’s Studio challenge before or if you're new to the community but have a higher level of DIY skill)
- Bloggers (choose this category if you have a ‘blogger’ label beside your username or are a professional blogger)
To keep things interesting, we are changing things up a bit from our past Challenges. This time around, we're relying on our Creator community to help us narrow down the list and highlight their favorites. Once all the projects are submitted, all Creator's Studio members will be asked to invest their coins to make a shortlist of top projectcs. From that shortlist, our panel of expert reviewers will select a winner from each category. Submissions will be judged on originality and creativity, interpretation of the "Let There be Light" theme, and submission quality (description and photo quality). The winner in each category will receive a $500 Gift Card to their choice of Home Depot, Lowe's or Menards.
Rules:
- Create a Let There Be Light themed DIY project using at least one Rust-Oleum product.
- Complete the submission form before December 5th
- Include at least 3 photos of your project (we like to see the finished project and any before photos as well as the steps you took along the way). Be sure the images you upload are clear and well lit (pun intended). If we can’t see it, it’s tough to judge.
- Include at least one photo that shows the Rust-Oleum product(s) you used.
- One entry per person.
- Your project must be completed between October 29 and December 5, 2018. Projects completed prior to this date are not eligible.
- Enter your submission in the appropriate category (choose First Timer if you consider yourself a novice DIYer. Choose Experienced DIYers if you have entered a Creator’s Studio challenge before or if you have a higher level of DIY skill. And choose Blogger if you have a ‘blogger’ label beside your username or if you are a professional blogger or online influencer.)
Prizes
We will award 3 prizes: to the top project in each category. Each winner will receive a $500 gift card to one of Home Depot, Lowe's or Menards.
