How to paint a polypropylene laundry sink

Our house came with a double laundry sink that I think is made of polypropylene, judging by what I see at big box stores.  It's stained and ugly on the inside, and unattractive on the outside though not stained.  Is there a way to make it pretty, at least on the outside?  I'd love to make it all pretty, if possible.  Thanks, R-O friends!  Bonnie :)
