Sealer for Painted Furniture

I read a blog post suggesting this product would be a good choice for sealing painted furniture.  I would appreciate any advise you can offer.  Is this ideal to seal painted furniture?  If so, does it depend on the type of paint being used?  What kind of smell does it give off?  Is it ideal for indoor use?  Do you suggest a different product instead?   Thanks for any help!
