Imagine paint problems

I'm starting to wonder if I got bad paint?!  I started with my hardware that didn't paint right. I chalked it up to the factory finish on the hardware interfering.  I painted some styrofoam decorations and they painted ok. Sort of. Then I tried these wine glasses. The can says to use on glass. It ran down the stem. I realize in the pictures it looks like I was heavy handed with the paint, but I was not. It just all ran down to the base of the glass and pooled there.  I did use this paint on wood and it worked fine. That is however the only thing I have had success with. I'm trying to enter the contest and nothing is turning out
