Please Help....Best Way to Paint

I was given this dresser to review. I want to paint this for a beachy dramatic look. It's mostly man engineered, mdf.  How would you suggest I paint it. Chalk Paint, Paint, or Spray paint? I would love to chalk paint if it would stay on the kinda slick surface of the dresser
