kitchen counters, oh my

Hey guy,

I have laminate counter tops - I have seen you tube videos of people doing counter tops - does it really work? IF I would try this - do my counter tops - what do I need to know before I start?? Do I need a heat gun? Is it self leveling?? How do you get the colors to looking good? what are some of the mistakes you made? How much would I need per square foot? Is it expensive?? How long would it take to do and how long does it take to dry?? thanks guy! ; - )
