Anne-Size Crafting Table

Submitted to Community Chat

I finally have a crafting table made to my height (5'10), and specifications!  My previous work space did a number on my back, which limited me doing what I love.  My husband said to design it, and he'd make it.

This one is super easy!!!  The cubbies are two white Kallax 8-cubby bookcases from IKEA.  The remaining parts are two plywood boards, with the top one being better quality.  One super-fat dowel cut into four 9" lengths, then they were inserted into table leg mounts, to raise the table top up from the cubbies.  We painted the dowels and base board Chalked Linen White, and left the top board as is.  We added six 3" swivel and locking wheels to accomodate the weight of the piece.  Final dimensions are:  Bottom section including cubbies - 3'6" x 4'10", and 11" between the two cubbies to store wood; Table Top: 4' x 5'4"; Total Height (including wheels): 3'9".

This is one monster of a crafting table, but I LOVE it!!!
