All Mixed Up!!!

To accomplish redoing this old, beat up jewelry chest, I did some paint mixing. I got the chest at Goodwill for $2.00. After cleaning and sanding it, I mixed some leftover chalk paint. I used RUST-OLEUM crimson and deep lavender to make a plum color I thought would be fun. I started my chest with two base coats of the plum mixture. I let that dry between coats and then overnight. Then I mixed ivory and plum Testors acrylic craft paint to make a beautiful pink shade. I used the pink for the trim and drawer sides. After that, I used the plum acrylic paint again by itself to dry brush over the pink trim and on the drawers and doors. When I was finished I let it dry real good, a day maybe. Then I gave it a good coat of RUST-OLEUM chalk paint sealer and protector. I'm pretty happy with it. :)
In the end I finished it off with decoupaged doors and drawers.:)
