Hall Bench

This is my very FIRST piece of furniture that I've made!!!  I used a headboard and footboard that my husband inherited from his grandmother, and I also purchased 4 -1x6x6, and 1-2x2x8.  After I had built the bench, I stained the seat in Minwax Stain in Gunstock (applied 2 coats).  I painted the body of the bench in Heirloom Traditions Chalk Paint in Black Bean, then applied a second coat in Rust-Oleum Chalked Paint in Charcoal.  Lastly, I applied 3 coats of Minwax Polycrylic Clear Satin, making sure to lightly sand between each coat.

I absolutely LOVE how it turned out!!!
