Old Bathroom Tiles

Hey have anyone ever tried to paint their bathroom tiles from the 50's? I didnt know what the best practice and best materials I should use. the bathroom is a terrible pink and we were wanting to paint it a simple clean white. Any help is appreciated thankso so much!
