Round side table conundrum!

Dear Creative friends, 

   I purchased this table on the left painted a light green for very little money with hopes that I would refinish it some how. I recently stripped and sanded it (below) but now I'm at a loss as to what to do.  I'm struggling with how I want to finish it.  I think it was made in the 1950's if that helps with the design.
