Woodworkers Thank You!!!!

Help!!!I have been  refinishing a piece of furniture. It is quite old. After sanding off 2 coats of paint,I notice tiny crack lines all over the legs and some on rest.They are small hairline cracks. They are too small to fill in with wood filler. Do I leave alone and just stain over, or is there a product of some kind I can use to prepare the wood for staining.

Now I hope I hear from bunches of you with GOOD advise...I need to finish this for someone.

Hopefully, it comes out great! the seat took over 32 hours to make. ugh
