Opinions on a Drastic Change Idea Needed..

I scored an old dining room suite, buffet, China cabinet,  table and 4 chairs for $5 at an auction!  I paid a fella $10 to haul it to my house.  I replaced the table with a sturdier one, but liked the other pieces.  I have wanted to refinish them, but just never came up with any ideas I really liked.  Then I upcycled that piano bench into a plant stand.  I like the oil rubbed bronze so much, I am thinking of painting them with that.  I have a Russian lacquer box that is black with red interior that I like, so I was thinking a red lacquer interior for them.  They are currently limed oak, from what I have been told.  So, what do you think?
