Wallpaper Removal

So, no problem getting the wallpaper off, but the wallpaper lining with glue is still on walls. I'm scraping it off and killing my drywall as it was not primed or anything before the wallpaper was applied. I went online and found many recommendations to use a Zinsser product called Gardz Problem Surface Sealer. My plan is too remove as much as the wallpaper liner and glue as possible, sand the walls, repair any large divots, etc., apply Gardz, and paint. Has anyone used this product, or any Rustoleum experts have advice? If it indeed does what it states, could I possibly skip the rest of the scraping?
