Decided to make the imperfect painting look less freshly painted = final solution to wonky hand painted striped lines wrapping around tote.
Distressed all the tote edges with both orbital sander hand sanding.
Update 6/21/20
Final edit was brown glaze distressing, black specking and acrylic sealer.
Trying to make crisp clean striping was “not in the cards” for this particular cedar wooden tote.
Next projects down the line -more carefully attention to smoothing and filling wood surfaces particularly where edges meet prior to painting stripes will be done. Lesson learned.
