Sofa Table {Decorative Table}

***please look past the decor that hasn't been set up yet***

My mom has been wondering how to decorate a blank wall in her master suite.  I surprised her with this sofa table (although it won't go behind a sofa); she wanted a narrow table for this space. Anyway, this is how it turned out (...how it evolved, since I didn't use a pattern).

The wood on top was stained with Kona wood stain (I applied it and quickly wiped it off, just one coat). I LOVE THE COLOR!!!!  The white was blossom white paint. I roughed up the edges a bit and then wiped the stain on the edges of the table so it'd look a little more rustic.

The stars are made from cardboard (cereal and cracker boxes) that I spray painted white and wiped some of the Kona stain on.
