Kitchen Eat in Makeover

I’ve been meaning to recover my kitchen eat in bench and chairs.  My daughter suggested the black and white gingham look.  My only problem is that my bench is one piece of wood, and it is difficult to upholster in a costly fashion when I have to buy wide fabric.  My trick was to buy the largest tablecloth.  It is stain proof already and is wide enough to redo the bench in one piece as well as cost effective.   I even had enough leftover to recover the chairs.  Of course, I had to spray paint these chairs a fresh white.  They were dingy.  I also gave my table top a fresh coat of paint.  I didn’t make the runner, but ordered it.  I did cut it in half though to fit the table and sewed the edge.  As my daughter suggested, the print matches my checkered rooster pillows and other decor.  The picture with my dog is the before.  He’s also part of the reason for needing a redo as the bench fabric was looking quite dirty.  Gotta love him though!
