Rust-Oleum mirror effect on plexiglass?

Has anyone tried this product on plexiglass? Just wanting to do a light sliver tinting effect, not a full mirror. Trying to make some stuff for my robot. I thought it would be cool having a blue slightly mirrored backlit effect on his eyes.
