Kitchen Backsplash idea

I have redone my kitchen cabinets from dark wood to farmhouse white. I plan on painting the walls a light gray and I have an accent color of cranberry red. I absolutely love trees and am looking to do a mosaic. 

What do you think of this idea, what has worked for you? This will be my first attempt at mosaic.
