Faux Fireplace

Every year around this time of year (Christmas season), I always want a fireplace and a fireplace mantel to decorate, unfortunately, every house I have lived in didn't have one. So this year I decided to break down and finally make one for myself. For the plans, I used the faux fireplace mantel plans on Ana White's website, but made my own adjustments! I gave the fireplace more depth and to mimick a real fireplace, I added the faux brick paneling you can get from Home Depot or Lowes! This stuff is amazing! Then I used the spackling technique you can see from Sawdust2Stiches and Sawdust Girl's blogs!
