Cousin Itt Footstool

I've had this sad little footstool since my son was a wee kiddo.  It's gotten pretty banged up over the years, and I decided it needed a facelift.  This was a project that evolved over several weeks....because I wasn't sure what I wanted it to end up looking like.

Once that decision was made, I started off by giving the stool a good sanding.  I then sprayed it with several light coats of Rust-Oleum's Metallic Paint & Primer in One in Black Stainless Steel.  I wanted this to have some umph, so I purchased a remnant piece of 6" foam.  I attached that to the stool using 3M Super 77 Multipurpose Adhesive (spraying the adhesive to both the top of the stool and the bottom of the foam).  Next was attaching the faux fur.  I used an electric heavy-duty stapler using 1/2" staples.  I then gave it a little haircut...and VOILA...it was done!
