Personalized Gift Crates for the Holidays

Submitted to Community Chat

We celebrate Hanukkah, which means eight nights of gifts for each of our children. Usually, these gifts end up all over the dining room table!

Instead, this year, I used two large wooden crates, stained them in traditional Hanukkah colors - Varathane stain in Antique White and Vintage Aqua - and added a Rust-Oleum chalkboard paint square to the side of the crate. I put each child's first initial on the chalkboard panel and now each kid has a place for their gifts!

It's an easy, customizable way to corral gifts for any holiday.
