Have you done this?
I am winging this- attempting a  rusty faux patina to make a new holder for a clearance valentines day 49 cents plant in sad shape that needed rescuing.
I can’t upsize it too much I just want a temporary step up sized plastic planter- holder.

I am not sure if I’m doing this textured rust effect right with this first attempt on a small tomato sauce can.
Prefer to use latex brush on paint.
I used baking soda and I see some youtubers use cinnamon.
Also unsure what kind of sealer to use as not to add any sheen.

Any helpful suggestions links or tips would be appreciated.
I do have a rust patina spray paint kit but wish to use chalked and latex paints as weather -has so far -been unfavorable for spray painting.
Thanks!
