Painting a bathroom counter

I am redoing my bathroom and the 1990s mauve pink laminate counters are in perfect condition but....pink. which products have you used with success that stood up to water, children, scrubbing and toothpaste (so much toothpaste....) finishes, base paints. Any of it. Thank you!
