Restored Cedar Chest

Submitted to Community Chat

Not long ago, I asked a question in the Community Cafe about an old cedar chest I was restoring. I included a photo of the paint removal process and asked what type of finish I should use. Thanks so much to everyone who commented, giving me ideas! After all your input, my friend decided she wanted to go with an oil finish for her cedar chest and chose the WATCO Dansih Oil in Medium Walnut....and she is SO happy with it!

Removing the paint was quite a process but applying the Danish oil was easy and gave the cedar chest a beautiful finish. My friend is really happy with the way her craigslist find looks now!

Thanks again, everyone!
