Terrariums

Terrariums are a beautiful way to get your green on in the winter months when it’s too cold to grow anything outside.  Closed terrariums are lower maintenance as they utilize the water cycle (yeah, that one you learned about in science class) so there’s less watering.  And water terrariums are mesmerizing and just as easy to care for.  Both add that trending, living element to your home décor. 

For the closed terrariums, I wanted to be able to see all of the layers through the glass.  For the water terrariums, I added a touch of gold to the bottom of each to pull the different shapes together as a set (all were just random vases from thrift stores).  I used Rust-Oleum's 2x Paint and Primer in Metallic Gold (my very favorite metallic finish right now - it's the PERFECT gold color!)
