Contractor faux pas

Hello so sorry—I have another question please.

I am dismayed by my contractors mismatching this installation with the light fixture template mount. It appears to be a white composite. Sadly its a eyesore with a frontal view.

How would you suggest trying to makes it less unmatched....could the visible white be touched up with primer and paint brush carefully

( masking) with the actual electrical fixture in place?

If so what paint on products would you recommend?

I do have both oil based and acrylic Ultra Cover.

Just saying... I ❤️ Ultra Cover.
