Bringing out the grain with Varathane

The slab is a natural edge Walnut stained with Varathane premium fast dry light walnut stain to bring out the grain and tones. The bud vase I turned out of hard Maple also finished with the light walnut to add color and bring out the grain, I think it helps give the light colored maple more dimension. Both pieces cleared with Rustoleum 2x matte clear.
