Inspiration from an earring..

The first picture is the earring I saw on Pinterest. It so inspired me to create an art piece based on the Afrocentric vibe it gave me. I constructed the afro picks from shewers and craft sticks, cowrie shells and bling. I then painted my canvas before adhering them to it. How did I do?
