Waiting for cooler temperatures to present before doing some tasks.

I have rooted to bunch of plants from existing shrubs and don’t want to put them in the rock hard dry soil in 90° plus heat. They remain in their “ monitored potted nursery” until ready to go in the ground. It’s amazing what can be accomplished with rooting hormone and layering.

Additionally, fall is a good time to divide some perennial plants. Hope to do that if time and weather allows.

We need to paint our elevated deck piers and outdoor shower surround before the painting season ends.

Trying to tie up multiple small jobs that often involve aerosol painting.

Restoring bird houses, suet, feeders, and some resin decor.

Recently repainted some feeders, evicting squirrels and their nuts…..and ordered those metal predator porthole covers for the birdhouse entries. Saw that a predator likely a squirrel has chewed the cedar wood entry open considerably. Need to repair that. I’ve even found a snake in an elevated feeder at the dock. Hoping that something shiny and structured might keep them out.

I have all rummage sale frog fountain that I use as a statue electing not to use the pump. There is some rust and paint loss. The metal resin sculpture needs restoration repainting.

Our community has a twice a year roadside limb pick up with chipper service, there is some cleanup that needs to be done, and limbs dragged off to the street when the scheduled date is closer.

Push downwards….

My last pallet art piece that was leaning against the shed rotted across the bottom, so it was discarded a while back in our communities dumpster day. I have a new pallet built. It’s currently not primed. I am doubting if I really want to do another statement piece to lean against the shed for decorative accent. It’s a job I’ve put off because I’m not sure it’s necessary.
