Color of the Year 2024 was recently launched, and to celebrate, our community team presented an exciting product testing opportunity to Creator's Studio Superfans : sign up to test the 2024 Spray Paint Color of the Year !
Rust-Oleum's 2024 Spray Paint Color of the Year is Satin French Blue.
Each Superfan who signed up for this exclusive opportunity has been asked to test out Satin French Blue on one of the follow projects:
- an outdoor item
- indoor décor
- furniture
- a small statement piece

Tell us about your 'Color of the Year' project. What did you create and how did it go? Are you happy with the final product?
I bought this little black cabinet at a yard sale to redo for my bathroom. The front glass was missing and I originally thought I would put a piece of wood in it and replace the glass side panels and glass shelf with wood too. Instead thought I would see how well this paint would do on glass and I'm happy to say that it did very well. I then decided I would create the front panel out of cardboard covered with pretty floral shelf liner. After reattaching the door and putting the shelf back in the cabinet I lighly distressed the finish with sandpaper as perfectly imperfect is what I love. I think it turned out really cute.
The spray paint really covered well and was easy to spray. I did 3 light coats and still had what felt like half a can left. This shade of blue is not a color I would have chosen for myself so I don't believe I would buy this color but I definitely would buy this line as it really performed well.
