New Member Highlights

Submitted to What's New

We know that joining a new community can be intimidating to some people, and a few Creator’s Studio members have told us that it took a little bit of courage to submit their first project. That’s why we wanted to create a new series that features new members who have taken the leap and submitted a project.  I think everyone would agree that Creator's Studio members are some of the kindest and supporting people around! Here are a few highlights:

  • From November 1 to December 1, we had close to 300 new members join Creator’s Studio.
  • Two of those members have already achieved ‘Apprentice’ status and one has obtained ‘Creator’ status!
  • 162 of those new members have already contributed in some way to the community in the last two months.

The first new member that we’d like to highlight is blogger hollyantoine.

Holly is definitely not new to DIY, but she is new to Creator’s Studio. Last month she shared one of her tricks for spray painting drawer pulls by mounting them on cardboard in our Creative Paint Hacks activity.

Holly is a Canadian DIY blogger whose blog, “By the Stand,” is growing a strong online following as she completes lots of neat DIY projects and shares them on her blog and Facebook page.

Secondly, we’d like to give a shout out to nharvath (Nena)!

Nena was the recipient of our Challenge Rookie award in our “Merry Little DIY Challenge” with her Mercury Glass Winter Chandelier Submission.

Nena was inspired by a summery outdoor chandelier that she saw in Midwest Living, and turned it into a beautiful showcase piece for her yard in winter. We love the look that she created using Rust-Oleum Mirror Effects, and hope to see more challenge submissions from her in the future soon!

Are you new to Creator’s Studio? We’d love to feature you next! We keep an eye out for new members who contribute to the community right off the bat and share their projects shortly after joining, so don’t be shy! Share away and feel the support of our wonderful members.
