Which Challenge(s) did you win?

Trash to Treasure Challenge IV

What did you love and what were your struggles with this project?

I liked everything about this project. My favorite part was deciding what to do with the item(s). I couldn't decide on a project so i had given my daughter $20 at a yard sale and told her to suprise me and go buy something with it and whatever she bought was going to be my trash to treasure project. She didn't make it easy for me thats for sure but I love a challenge and I had so much fun gathering random trash and odds and ends to create it.

I didn't have any big struggles that I can remember .....unless cleaning up the disastrous mess I made in the dining room counts -- that struggle was def real..

Enquiring minds want to know -- what did you do with your prize winnings?!

I spent it all on Rust-Oleum chalk and acrylic latex paint, Rust-Oleum spray paints and then I had them mix me probably about 20 different 8 oz color samples....I spent it ALL on paint lol!

Are you still DIYing?

This past year I had a lot going on and couldn't really afford to spend money on DIY projects. But I started back up doing little things here and there about a month or two ago.

What projects do you currently have on the go?

Have a few small projects -- nothing big, one was an old suitcaseI revamped and the other is the heads of a old wooden crib that I painted and am making into into a chalkboard street sign, I just have to clamp the two pieces back to back together so it will hold itself up then I'm done.

I have some big ones coming up but haven't started yet. My eldest turned 18 and his room opened up so I have 3 bedrooms that need to be moved and fixed up/redecorated because my girls now get their own rooms. So thats next.

What's your favorite part of the Creator's Studio community? How would you describe this community to a friend?

My favorite aspect of the Creator's Studio community is undeniably the unparalleled connection and sense of camaraderie you have created with your customers in this community—a rarity in today's market. Not only is the product top-notch, I love the the thrill of experimenting with new products or being asked our opinion on future ones and interacting with fellow artists and the challenges. When describing this community to friends, I often emphasize that Rust-Oleum is hands-down the best company ever and how I love the quality products and the genuine bond it cultivates among creators. Simply put, it's more than just a platform; it's a supportive network that celebrates creativity and collaboration.
