Transforming a garage is no easy task. It takes time and energy to turn a cluttered storage area into a functional home space that you can be proud of. We know it may seem intimidating, but we also know it’s a project on many of your to-do lists. Throughout this challenge, we hope to provide enough support, inspiration, and prize incentives to finally make it happen for you.
We realize there is no such a thing as the garage fairy so we’re here to help you take matters into your own hands! To make it easier to get started on your garage make-over, we’re starting with the floor. If you’re up for the challenge, all you have to do is coat your garage floor with a Rust-Oleum garage floor coating product from either the RockSolid or EpoxyShield lines.
Since you’ll already be clearing out your garage to participate… why not transform more than just the floor? Try adding new storage solutions, painting the walls, or even decorating – whatever will make this your dream garage. Take pictures along the way, or create a video to share your transformation step-bystep. If you do create a video, you’ll need to post it on YouTube and include the link in your submission.
The Winners
The Rust-Oleum team will select a group of finalists for the community to vote on and the top 3 crowd favorites will be our winners!
Prizes
In addition to earning Creator Coins, we will be offering the winners a gift card to a home improvement center of their choice.
- 1st Place: $3,000 gift card and a Master Creator badge in the community
- 2nd Place: $1,500 gift card
- 3rd Place: $500 gift card
Expert Review – what are we looking for?
The criteria is the most dramatic garage transformation, best use of Rust-Oleum products and the best how-to tips/explanations to help others wanting to coat their garage floor. In addition, you must
- Follow all surface preparation and application instruction included in the project. Surface preparation is a very important step to ensure a long-lasting finish.
- Take before & after photos (application photos are a bonus!).
- Provide 2-3 tips about your surface preparation and/or product application.
- Inspire us with a message to tell others that will motivate them to coat (or re-coat) their garage floor. You can write this in your submission, or create a YouTube video.
- And should you become a winner, we ask that you use the prize to complete your garage transformation and be willing to post 'after' photos.
