Welcome with a WOW!
The Current Situation
We all love to dream, right? We recently jumped at an opportunity to purchase a home that was in foreclosure in our dream neighborhood. Sure, foreclosures can be daunting but with our family size more than doubling, we longed for a space that could grow with the needs of our family…. Even if a lot of labor would be required.
As a Realtor, I know that curb appeal is everything. Our home was lonely and vacant for months. It was neglected and abused for years. NOW it’s time to perk it up and what better way than an exterior face lift! We’ve got two entrances to the front of our home. I would love to update the look with something warm and welcoming. When you enter our space, I want people to wash their memories of the chipping paint and grass higher than a corn field. Instead, I’d like to welcome our guests with fresh paint, charming landscaping and flowers along with our personal touch.
What Would You Change?
I dream of having two new, insulated doors to replace our old dated and damaged eye sores. Our current doors have water damage between the glass panes and massive gaps where our heat escapes and I’d love to replace them with something more energy efficient and easy on the eyes. I picture beautiful solid wood doors finished with an amazing Rustoleum Premium Gel stain, topped with Varathane Polyurethane. I picture fresh cut grass and homemade window boxes filled with gorgeous, overflowing flowers. I’d love to line our doorways with matching wooden planters and lush flowers. Our weathered teak patio chairs would look stunning sanded down and refinished. Our side porch would be charming with a gorgeous wooden bench. The tired, worn wood and chippy paint on our exterior trim and copula would be a freshened up and given new life and our poor worn driveway could use some love.
We’ve got HUGE plans and wish lists longer than my maiden name (Ptaszynski). But who are we kidding, we wouldn’t want it any other way! We love renovations and live for new projects. When I joined the Rustoleum Creator’s Studio and heard of your Rustoleum challenge, I knew the possibilities were endless.
