Describe your project. How did it go? How did you embrace the theme of 'Hang on to Summer'? Did you enjoy working with the Color Shift paints?
I spent an evening last week cleaning out my garden boxes. I love the summer growing season and I’m never quite ready to let it go when the first freeze comes and brings my last grasp of summer to an end. For this project, I chose to hang on to summer by creating a GROW sign and added colorful leaves blowing up through it to remind me that growth isn’t just for summer.
I picked up the paper letters, plastic leaves and sign board at Hobby Lobby. The leaves and letters were painted with a base layer of Rust-oleum chalkboard spray paint. The Color Shift paints were very easy to work with and dry quickly. I used one coat of Iridescent Shimmer on the letters and 2 coats of Purple Sunrise, Pink Champagne and Turquoise Waters on the leaves.
As we head into winter, I love seeing my new reminder to never stop growing.
