Challenge Brief
You can be as creative as you want with this Challenge. Use any materials you can think of to make your mushroom, and the end result can be as big or small as you want. You have complete creative freedom 😊
Make sure you snap a before photo, an in-progress photo, and final photo of your mushroom and complete the submission form to participate. You must use at least two different products from the Rust-Oleum family in your submission. The work for this challenge should be done between April 8 and May 24th, 2021
When the submission phase ends, our panel of expert reviewers will narrow down the choices to create a shortlist, and then it'll be up to the Creator's Studio community to cast votes for the winners.
Rules:
- Create a mushroom using at least two different products from the Rust-Oleum family
- Two separate products must be used, this could be a spray paint and a cleaner, or a paint pen and a stain. Two different colors of spray paint for example, will not qualify; we're looking for some product diversity here!)
- Complete the submission form before May 24th at midnight CST
- Include at least three photos of your mushroom - we need to see the finished project but also want to see a before shot (of your materials & Rust-Oleum products), and an in-progress photo too! Be sure the images you upload are clear and well lit. If we can’t see it, it’s tough to judge.
- Tell us how you created your mushroom, the steps you took, and any challenges you may have had.
- Multiple submissions per person are allowed! If you have created mutiple mushrooms using different methods, please submit each "variety" in a separate submission. (For example, if you made 10 toadstools of varying sizes but otherwise identical, then those are fine in one submission, but if you made a red mushroom out of wood, and a green mushroom out of rocks, then those would be two separate submissions. Please ask us if you're not sure!)
- Your mushroom must be created between April 8 and May 24th 2021. Projects completed prior to this time period are not eligible.
- This Challenge operates under the overarching terms and conditions that apply to all Creator's Studio Challenges.
Voting
Once all of the submissions are collected, our team of Rust-Oleum experts will filter through the fungi to ensure that all rules have been followed and create a shortlist of finalists. We'll then pass the final vote to Creator's Studio members to crown our winners!
Prizes
Up for grabs are three gift cards for the home improvement store of your choice (Home Depot, Lowe's or Menards)
- First place: $250
- Second place: $150
- Third place: $100
And, to thank all of our members for taking part in the voting phase of this Challenge, everyone who casts a vote will be entered into a random draw to win a Rust-Oleum prize pack.
Rust-Oleum reserves the right to change or adjust the prizes awarded, as well as the right to reject or request amendments to submissions.
