Alternative use- canine dog clippers

Heard this suggestion somewhere likely on YouTube.
“Dog nail clippers can be used to cut wooden dowels”
Today I’ve tried it on coffee stir sticks, dowels, regular popsicle sticks and it does actually make a clean clear cut.
We went to purchase new replacement dog nail clippers and it didn’t work very well on our dogs nails so now I have re-purposed them for cutting smaller diameter craft wood.
It’ll probably spare abuse to my wire cutters.
If I were to make a Putz house and wish to cut individual bricks from coffees stir sticks it would be the perfect tool to consider using. Pretty fast easy effortless.
