Glass block projects?

I found a glass block with lights at the Goodwill and wondered if anyone here had done a glass block painted project?
Looking at Pinterest for ideas- theres a bunch of nice visuals but not so much the diy. I was thinking of doing a painted scene on an aerosol frosted glazed basecoat...if that ( frosted base) could hold paint on top?
My other question is -can you paint both side to have two seasons represented or does that obscure too much light or does the transparency muddy up seeing two images.
I guess the perfect solution would be to have interchangeable sleeves.......
Im not sure that I have ever seen a painted block in person.
