Beads of Courage Box

For those of you unfamiliar with Beads of Courage, it’s a program for children going through medical treatment for life threatening conditions. Every time they receive a treatment, they receive a bead. Woodturners around the country build these boxes for storage of the beads. This one pictured here is made from cherry wood and the color is leftover Rustoleum Glacier Blue acrylic paint from the recent mystery challenge. This box is unique from the ones I’ve made in the past in that it has a folding handle. Fun project. To find out more about the program, visit https://beadsofcourage.org/
